Hello everyone! I’m Raquel and I’m 18 years-old. I used to live in Caldas da Rainha, but I moved to Lisbon two weeks ago. Now I live near Marquês de Pombal. I have an older sister that lives in Lisbon too and at the weekends we go to Caldas and spend time with our family.

I really like music and I absolutely love to go to summer festivals. My favorite bands are My Chemical Romance, Paramore and 30 Seconds to Mars. I used to be a TV addict, but now I only watch TV at weekends and only the new episodes of my favorite shows like Sherlock Holmes and Bones. I love cinema, specially comedies and horror movies. My favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas and I love all Tim Burton movies.

I love animals but I’m definitely a dog person. I have a French Bulldog named Dexter that I had to leave with my mother back at Caldas, unfortunately. My sister has Dexter’s sister and his father. We have a little Bulldog family! It can get a little chaotic at weekends when they’re all at my mom’s place but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I adore reading, especially in English. I entered this course because I love literature and I love to speak and learn foreign languages. I still don’t know exactly what I want to do when I finish, but I know that this is where I’m supposed to be and that I made the right choice.
