Hi, everybody! I'm Catarina...

...but my friends usually call me by Gigi or Cata (Gigi, because I used to do theatre plays at school and one of my characters was Gigi and Cata, well it's obvious, isn't it?). I'm pretty ordinary, nothing especial really, and my life isn't full of excitment or adventures, but I like it this way - the monotonous way.
I was born in Germany, but came to Portugal to live with my uncle and my aunt when I was only a year and a half. My parents remain in Germany, however every Christmas, Easter and Summer Vacation both me and my older sister would go there to spend some time with them. Now, we live with our parents in the country side of Barreiro and it's quiet, very, very quiet! Wich in the beginning was quite difficult to adapt, since I lived in the big city - Lisbon- and was used to hear car noises and people shouting outside. Nowadays, the only noise outside that I hear are produced by the dogs, the cats, the howls, the chickens and the crickets. So, all I can say is that I live a normal and quiet live, with reduced stress.
I love asian culture and food, and animals. That's one of the reasons of wich I have two dogs and two cats - both cats (Lola and Lili) were caught on the street and both of the dogs (Nero and Dolly) were going to be put down. Healthy animals shouldn't be put to sleep, it makes no sence! So we brought them all to our home! I don't like the beach, when it's too hot or the Sun, since I'm very sensitive to it, and red spots start to appear on my chest, neck and arms. My hobbies consist on eating, sleeping, reading, watching TV (however they cancelled my favourite show - The Biggest Loser American Edition, now I only watch Masterchef Australia so I don't watch it that much), playing video games and I used to do Yoga but I stopped for a while and now I'm too rusty.
Before coming to this course I was in Law School but I hated it! Now, I feel that I'm on the right path. It's something I enjoy doing and that I'm good at. What I would really love to do, would be something related to animals, but unfortunatly I hate Math and Math hates me! Nevertheless, I'm happy with my choice and I feel it will be a good year.
